Pueblo Radiology Medical Group now offers Breast MRI and MRI guided Breast Biopsies!

Using radio frequency, magnetic waves, and computer reconstruction Breast MRI produces detailed 3-deminsional images of the breast. Since 2007 the American Cancer Society has recommended that women who are have a lifetime risk of 20-25% for breast cancer have a breast MRI in addition x-ray mammograms. This includes women with a history or family history of breast cancer. Breast MRI is particularly useful in detecting cancer in women with dense breast or implants.
