History

Pueblo Radiology was founded in 1957 in Santa Barbara, California by Dr. Ed Feldsted.  Pueblo Radiology began providing radiological imaging services at St. Francis Hospital in 1960, then at the current Cottage Healthcare System locations of Goleta Valley Community Hospital (1966) and Santa Ynez Valley Hospital (1982). In late 2002, we began providing professional services at Ojai Valley Community Hospital. In 2006, radiologists from Oxnard-Camarillo Radiology joined Pueblo Radiology.  With this affiliation, St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard and St John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital became clinical affiliates of Pueblo Radiology.  In 2007, Pueblo opened our open MRI office in Santa Barbara, and we have recently added a state-of-the-art wide bore 3T MRI to our Santa Barbara office.

Each of our outpatient offices feature state-of-the-art imaging equipment linked, over a secure Internet connection. Once on the network, images are moved, viewed, and stored electronically, maintaining a timeless and meticulous record of all patient images. Pueblo's computer systems are also linked with our hospitals and with referring physician offices so they may view their patients' images online. In addition to interpreting diagnostic imaging studies and conducting radiology procedures, our physicians also serve on various quality, planning, and medical staff committees.  We also provide interpretation for studies at the UC Santa Barbara Student Health Center as well as at several other physician practices.

Pueblo Radiology services are accredited by the American College of Radiology.  While these accreditations will be required by various government agencies in 2012, Pueblo Radiology has voluntarily pursued these accreditations for over 20 years.  MR, CT, ultrasound, and digital mammography have all achieved certification through the American College of Radiology.
